Brotherhood

Friendship and Brotherhood are the among the most important values for Phi Gamma Delta, and USD FIJI has been recognized for having one of the best brotherhoods on campus.  Though University of San Diego does not have any chapter houses, our brothers still manage to stay close through our various brotherhood events. We hold barbecues, sports games, and other fun activities that allow ample opportunity for us to hang out. Below is a list of some more specific brotherhood events:

FIJI FRIDAYS:

Held every Friday, any available Fiji will meet up for a pickup game of basketball, kickball, beach volleyball, etc.  Just a great time to get out and hang out with fellow brothers after a long week.

SPORTS TEAMS:

Brothers can form teams to participate in USD’s intramural sports program. We have formed soccer, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, and have become powerhouses in many of them.

PIG DINNER:

An international tradition of Phi Gamma Delta that began at UC Berkeley in 1893. Pig Dinner is a formal dinner celebration that is open to all local initiated FIJI’s and our graduate brothers. The San Diego Pig Dinner includes all the local chapters – University of California San Diego, San Diego State University, and the University of San Diego.
